Song: AndolonBand: D.O.T.Album: Shesh (OST of Fireflies)Language: Bangla / BengaliCountry of origin: BangladeshAbout D.O.T:The time was around late 2001. John was looking for someone like him. Someone who would enjoy and appreciate music the way he did. And Fate did not deny his efforts. Later that year he met Saify, his once school buddy, who himself was searching for a partner. Inevitably the jamming sessions started, with the plan to form a rock band. All they needed at the time was three more members to complete the line up. Mahfuz, guitarist and a cousin of John joined the group without further ado. The force was complete when Saify convinced his drummer friend Wamik and bassist Newton in mid 2003 to share their skills into the band. Finally, they were ready to roll...Wise men say "Life is not a bed of rose". Indeed it wasn't for the newly formed group. By mid 2004 Wamik had to leave to continue his higher studies and Newton was forced to leave as he was caught up in trouble. And later on Mahfuz, the promising guitarist lost his interest in music and left the band stranded. The dream seemed to fade away...John and Saify had to start from scratch again. In came Hreeshat, a senior friend and neighbor of Saify in February 2005. This fellow was, and still is, an important asset to the band. He brought along Reza who joined as a drummer. In May 2005, Hreeshat convinced Tomal to pick up bass duties for the band. The line up was finally complete again. Immediately the band started performing in underground shows and recorded their song "Alo" in October 2005. Later on, Moin had to hop into Reza's position as drummer as he got busy with his professional career. The band's first single "Opurnotai Purno" was released in the mixed album 'Prarthona' under the label of G-Series in October 2006. Meanwhile, their performances caught full houses in every show, be it underground or mainstream. The search for a permanent drummer continued as this time Moin had to leave, making space for Reaz as the drummer. The popular tracks "Bangladesh" and "Manush" were released in March 2008, listed in the mixed album 'Dabanol' under the label of Dead Line Music. In June 2008, Reaz left the band due to personal difficulties, and the band welcomed Abir, one of the most talented drummers of present times."Ekdin Hothat" and "Shorger Opar" are the next two singles to be released soon in the mixed-band album 'Episode 1' from the house of G-Series following "Abinoshshor" under Dead Line Music. The group is currently working on its very first solo album. Each and every person in this world has been through, is going through or will be through a difficult time. This is just another ingredient in the recipe of Life. The trick is to face it with courage. The same story goes with the band. It has been through a lot, but has managed to come out with a smile on its face, every time.No wonder the band is called 'Days Of Tragedy', as a tribute to hard times behind, as an inspiration to good times ahead. For us all, it's 'D.O.T'.Line-up:Vocal: SaifyGuitar: JohnGuitar: HreeshatBass : TomalDrums: Abir
